Les Claypool proves that he is not only an amazing musician, but also a great writer/storyteller/actor. Electric Apricot is a fun misadventure. Each character is unique and funny. The storyline flows well and can keep the the audience interested. Claypools character is a stereotypical percussionist who always seems to be over-prepared and is a perfectionist. The other members of the band are a great mix of jam band hippies and a Zen Buddhist. The zany fans and celebrity cameos (Matt Stone, Seth Green, Wavy Gravy, and many others)are a nice touch. Overall the film was fun and smart. Being a fan of Les Claypool, I find almost all of his work totally Awesome, and Electric Apricot is no exception.
