October Halloween Horrorfest 2017by apathy2673 | created - 22 Sep 2017 | updated - 27 Nov 2018 | Public
Time to watch some crappy horror movies via streaming. I'll watch 30 with the 31st being reserved for John Carpenter's Halloween. I make these lists so I don't watch the same POS movie again by accident. Hopefully I will find some good ones for you to enjoy on Halloween. I like gory horror movies and they aren't easy to find these days. There seems to be a large amount of possessed/mystery house movies, ghost movies and satanic movies about excorcism and the devil etc. I refuse to watch any Oujia board movie...they all suck.

1. Don't Kill It (2016)
Not Rated | 83 min | Action, Comedy, Fantasy
An ancient demon terrorizes a tiny Mississippi town.
Gorefest! Multiple heads crushed and exploded. By boot, gun, axe, fist, deer antlers. Murderous demon possesses person. Kill it and now you're the demon. And so on and so on. Old lady demon with a revolver gunning people down, 10 year old little girl demon smashing FBI agents skulls to bits. My kind of movie.
2. Train to Busan (2016)
Not Rated | 118 min | Action, Horror, Thriller
While a zombie virus breaks out in South Korea, passengers struggle to survive on the train from Seoul to Busan.
Votes: 119,263 | Gross: $2.13M
Big budget disaster/zombie movie. Must have been PG-13 because of low gore factor. Action scenes between long scenes of heavy family drama. Fast running zombies and lots of biting.
3. Demonic (2015)
R | 83 min | Horror, Thriller
A police officer and a psychologist investigate the deaths of five people who were killed while trying to summon ghosts.
Short and sweet. Satanic, demonic and violent. Rather large budget, well made with a high body count. Good Halloween demon movie.
4. All Through the House (2015)
TV-MA | 88 min | Horror
A deranged masked Santa-Slayer comes to town for some yuletide-terror. He leaves behind a bloody trail of mutilated bodies as he hunts his way to the front steps of the town's most feared and notorious home.
Santa is on a rampage with some garden shears: Stabbing cute girls, killing pets and chopping off some poor dude's schlong...which gets eaten by a cat-- because why the hell not? Breasts, blood, babes and a psyhotic Saint Nick.
5. Death Note (I) (2017)
TV-MA | 101 min | Adventure, Crime, Drama
A high school student named Light Turner discovers a mysterious notebook that has the power to kill anyone whose name is written within its pages, and launches a secret crusade to rid the world of criminals.
I don't know anything about the Japanese Death Note comics etc. This was a good action movie/love story with some demonic elements and a few gory bits. Well done. Way better than his new version of Blair Witch.
6. Talon Falls (2017)
75 min | Horror
Four teenagers on a road trip decide to take a detour and find them selves at at haunted house halloween scream park deep in the woods of southern Kentucky. After witnessing an assortment ... See full summary »
Talon Falls is a real Halloween/Haunted House Park. The hillbilly torture porn snuff film factory beneath its is not real. I hope. Violent, disgusting fast moving, high body count. One poor guy gets tortured so badly it becomes comedic. The first wound inflicted on him is his ear gets cut off. Pretty good.
7. Bleed (I) (2016)
TV-MA | 82 min | Horror, Thriller
It seemed perfect - a new house, a new marriage, a child soon to be born. But when Sarah and Matt invite their friends to celebrate, the situation turns deadly as they enter a burned-out prison on a ghost hunt.
Blair Witch with psycho hillbilly religious locals and without the found footage. You've seen this movie 1,000 times already. This "version" is pretty good, grim and bloody. A high body count but a little low on the gore. Worth a look.
8. Havenhurst (2016)
Not Rated | 85 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller
A troubled young woman takes up residence in a gothic apartment building where she must confront a terrifying evil.
Havenhurst is a scary apartment building where recovering alcoholics go to get clean...until they drink again and are murdered by something hiding in the walls. Everybody drinks again. So a decent body count and some gruesome medical gore. Not bad.
9. The Redwood Massacre (2014)
82 min | Horror
What begins as a exciting camping trip to the legendary Redwood murder site, takes a terrifying turn when the innocent campers discover the legend is about to become a nasty and bloody reality.
High body count. Everyone dies in a rather graphic and violent way. It makes no sense, however. Who or what is the masked man? The filmmakers are banking everything on that mask. Decent enough Halloween viewing fare with good gore and shot with good cameras.
10. The Black Room (2017)
Not Rated | 91 min | Comedy, Horror
A young couple moves into their dream house, which quickly becomes a living nightmare upon discovering a demonic secret awaiting them perennially in the cellar - with unholy pleasures, fear feasting and a brute for all who cross its' path.
From the director of Emmanuelle 2000 and Sex Files : An Alien Erotica. A ton of gore and sex. A ton of gory sex scenes. Nudity and moaning, orgasming women left and right.
11. Man Vs. (2015)
87 min | Horror, Sci-Fi, Thriller
A mysterious stalker plagues a reality tv survivalist during his five days alone for a new season of his show in the northern Ontario wilderness; and the figure may not be human.
Actually watchable and engaging for a one man show, basically. Unfortunately it's not a horror movie, it's a sci-fi movie in the end. The cover makes it look like a horror movie. Zips along, decent stuff.
12. Queen of Spades: The Dark Rite (2015)
TV-14 | 92 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller
There is an ancient ritual known to humankind for more than a hundred years...According to the legend, an ominous entity known as The Queen of Spades can be summoned by drawing a door and ... See full summary »
Worth a look. Well made. Kids summon an urban legend demon that lives in a mirror. Said demon starts killing some kids. No gore, but atmospheric and kind of creepy. Russian so it's subtitled. Ridiculous ending setpiece excorcism/transfusion sequence.
13. 13 Demons (2016 Video)
Not Rated | 80 min | Horror, Thriller
Gary, and his friends who are into gaming, renaissance fairs and various unsavory vices, stumble across a rare, medieval board game called "13 Demons." They discover the game has a dark ... See full summary »
Told through flashbacks during a police interrogation, 13 Daemons is a demonic board game makes those who play it think they're in it. Then they murder innocent people they think are demons. This generally happens in an animated ethereal realm, so not much gore. Actually, it was an interestingly enjoyable movie if you play RPG's or are a LARPer.
14. Feed the Devil (2015)
95 min | Adventure, Horror, Thriller
A hunt for easy money turns into a deadly search for a missing loved one as outsiders confront the evil forces behind a native American myth.
SLEAZY! This movie has a definite sleaziness to it. A lot of disgusting characters and disgusting gore. Interesting locations in the wilderness. A bit different than the other horror movies being made today. Nothing is spelled out and it's a bit weird and confusing, yet still sleazy and gory. I have an odd feeling that this is a Jacob's Ladder flick.
15. Bubba the Redneck Werewolf (2014)
80 min | Comedy, Horror
Cracker County is under attack and lovesick dog catcher Bubba Blanche has been transformed into a ferocious, cigar smoking Werewolf in order to save the day. But first he's got to conquer a beer or two. And maybe a plate of chicken wings.
Low budget, some decent gore, a few bazongas but no nudity. No holding back on the redneck angle for comedy. They keep the jokes coming fast. The Devil guy is pretty funny. I laughed a lot.
16. Cult of Chucky (2017)
R | 91 min | Comedy, Fantasy, Horror
Chucky returns to terrorize his human victim, Nica. Meanwhile, the killer doll has some scores to settle with his old enemies, with the help of his former wife.
So-so. The whole thing takes place in mental hospital. Lots of talking about the past movies. Low body count but gory. Awesome decapitation scene. Decent Halloween viewing because it's Chucky.
17. Beacon Point (2016)
85 min | Thriller
A group of hikers lost on the Appalachian Trail stumble across an ancient secret that threatens their survival.
Blair Witch with an extraterrestrial angle. Sort of gory. Is it watchable? Yeah. Is it good? I don't know, I honestly can't say. It is watchable though. And that cover art looks cool enough to sucker you into trying. Just different enough.
18. American Mummy (2014)
82 min | Horror
A group of university students in the New Mexico desert unearth an ancient mummy, on which one of the students performs a secret, primeval blood ritual. This awakens the death-hungry spirit... See full summary »
Some decent gore, limbchoppings, eviscerations, hatchet deaths. Also some cute girls and an AMAZING CAMEL TOE at 9:50. Watch that, skip the rest. Barely recommended Halloween horror viewing.
19. Be Afraid (2017)
99 min | Horror, Sci-Fi, Thriller
Not long after John Chambers and his family arrive at their new home in a small country town of Pennsylvania, John begins to experience sleep paralysis. Lying there paralyzed, trapped ... See full summary »
This is basically a Liftime TV Drama. Not scary, not gory not particularly exciting.
20. The Devil's Candy (2015)
Not Rated | 79 min | Drama, Horror, Thriller
A struggling painter is possessed by satanic forces after he and his young family move into their dream home in rural Texas, in this creepy haunted-house tale.
Serial killer movie with a bs satanic element. I suppose the bs satanic stuff is so they can call this a horror movie and sucker people into watching it. This movie is typical of the horror movies I hate, mostly because it hates "horror" movies and is looking for some kind of critical acclaim for being a serious drama or something.
21. Hunting Grounds (2015)
92 min | Horror, Thriller
A father, his son and two old friends arrive at an isolated family cabin for a weekend of hunting. A trip deep into the forest looking for wild game uncovers a tribe of Sasquatch that are determined to protect their land.
Pretty bad for a scary bigfoot movie. The sasquatch are dudes in fur suits and look like big troll toys or something, they don't look fierce. NOT a good bigfoot halloween movie.
22. Little Evil (2017)
TV-MA | 94 min | Comedy, Horror
Gary, who has just married Samantha, the woman of his dreams, discovers that her six-year-old son may be the Antichrist.
Funny and pretty evil at the beginning. At the end of the movie, the stepdad and the kid the are bonding as father and son at the soapbox derby. SOAPBOX DERBY!?!?!? Now you can skip it.
23. Playing with Dolls: Bloodlust (2016)
TV-MA | 81 min | Horror
Stina a single mother has fallen on hard times. When she has hit rock bottom she is offered a job on a reality horror show, with the promise of a million dollars to the winner. The group of... See full summary »
Barely a plot at all. Terrible acting that's fun to watch. Only one pair of boobs. A little bit of gore, a little bit of violence, a LOT of the masked guy creeping around. At least someone is trying to make my kind of horror movie.
24. Halloweed (2016)
Not Rated | 101 min | Comedy, Horror, Thriller
A comedic blend of murder, mystery and marijuana. Trying to escape the infamy of a serial killer father, Trent Modine and his goof-ball stepbrother Joey, both seeking a new start, find ... See full summary »
Sucks. A couple of funny moments. A main character who looks just like Jimmy Kimmel. Barely any Danny Trejo or Tom Sizemore. Even less gore and murder. Not even a good movie to watch stoned. Skip it.
25. Thorn (2014)
97 min | Action, Horror
Four years ago, Jess and her friends lived a nightmare that has left her almost killed by the unstoppable killer 'Thorn'. Four years later, Jessica and the survivors make an attempt to stop him once and for all.
Low budget awful slasher movie about an unstoppable killer in a Skeletor mask. Jumps around in time confusingly. there might've been a watchable movie shot, but the editor clearly can't cut together a coherent story. Or he was on drugs. Unbelieavable POS.
26. Ju-on Car (2008)

An attractive college couple goes on a road trip with some friends. Their destination: majestic waterfalls far away from civilization. Unfortunately the used car they bought is possessed by... See full summary »

28. Alien Vs. Zombies (2017)
70 min | Adventure, Comedy, Horror
Joe Alien fulfills a dream of coming to Earth to find that it's overrun by zombies. Finding an ally in young Parker, he attempts to save the world!
Metrosexual tourist alien comes to earth, travel-vlogging(!) and does not have a fabulous time. For the love of Pete do NOT watch this "movie" under any circumstances.
29. The Butcher Possessions (2014)
70 min | Drama, Horror, Thriller
When Chris Shaw takes his friends out to an isolated house to make a web video, they summon an evil spirit and must fight for survival once it begins to hunt them down.
Holy crap. This is the worst found footage movie ever made. This movie is a slap in the face to bad found footage movies. I'm pretty sure I've been punked. Or maybe the director jerks it to the thought of hapless victims watching his "movie". Just punch yourself in the balls instead, it'll be a more enjoyable time.
30. Seven Dorms of Death (2015)

Holy crap this sucks so bad. It's a spoof of a really bad horror movie. So it's filled with bad actors attempting to portray even worse actors for laughs. Detestable and NOT funny at all.
