Votes: 12,838 | Gross: $1.28M

Awesome dark-comedy, one of my fav dark comedies actually, a slightly psychotic satire on Hollywood with Stephen Dorff as the demented wannabe director Cecil B Demented who will stop at nothing when it comes to making the perfect movie, even if it means breaking all laws imaginable

A true gem among prison-flicks, Stephen Dorff is unsurprisingly great what is a little surprising though is that Val Kilmer is as good if not even better

Votes: 1,310

I was surprised to see that this was actually a TV-movie, it has all the qualifications of a theatrical release... Susan Sarandon is excellent in the lead and Dorff does stellar work as well in the male lead

Votes: 1,502 | Gross: $0.04M

A really good drama that takes place in a war-zone in a middleeastern country, Stephen Dorff gets to show off his dramatic side in this one and does so very well

Votes: 265,403 | Gross: $97.10M

Solid gangster-epos albeit lacking a bit when it comes to emotions and making you feel sympathy for the characters, Dorff plays one of John Dillingers gunmen

Entertaining drama in the lines of Rumblefish and The Outsiders with Dorff in the lead, got very poor reviews but I like it fine

Votes: 11,086 | Gross: $0.00M

Stephen Dorff carries this whole movie on his shoulders, some would might call it a Buried-ripoff but IMO it's a better movie than Buried, alot more tense... The ending isn't perfect but the ride there is very thrilling and Dorff's performance excellent

10. Steal (2002)

A gang of extreme sportsmen raises the stakes in their criminal activities.

Director: Gérard Pirès | Stars: Natasha Henstridge, Stephen Dorff, Bruce Payne, Steven Berkoff

Votes: 5,581

I coulda sworn this was a Luc Besson directed movie, at least a produced one... But it seems as if I was wrong

It has all the ingredients for a Luc Besson movie, sort of stupid at times but entertaining

Dorff in the lead, not his greatest performance for sure actually none of the actors in this movie are great by any means but it's still a fairly entertaining ride

11. The Iceman (2012)

Director: Ariel Vromen | Stars: Michael Shannon, Chris Evans, James Franco, Winona Ryder

Votes: 66,648 | Gross: $1.94M

Just like Public Enemies it lacks in terms of feeling sympathy for the characters and it's a very bleak story as well, tbh I don't remember Dorff being in this so I imagine his part isn't that big

12. Somewhere (2010)

Director: Sofia Coppola | Stars: Stephen Dorff, Elle Fanning, Chris Pontius, Erin Wasson

Votes: 40,737 | Gross: $1.77M

Very "small" movie, in the context that not alot happens, it's a character study I guess... Dorff in the lead playing what I think could be a version of himself, decent movie

13. American Hero (2015)

Not Rated | 86 min | Action, Comedy, Drama

42 Metascore

Melvin, a reluctant Superhero, lives only for crime, women and drugs - until he realises that the only way he will ever get to see his estranged son is to go straight and fulfil his potential as a crime fighter.

Director: Nick Love | Stars: Stephen Dorff, Eddie Griffin, Luis Da Silva Jr., Christopher Berry

Votes: 3,695

Watchable mockumentary about a 'loser' douchebag who spends most his time drinking or getting high... Oh and he has levitational powers

Indie-drama with great acting from Dorff and Emile Hirsch... The plot is a bit on the thin though perhaps and slightly depressing so you need to be in a specific mood for it

A single mom and her child are carjacked by a bank robber.

Director: John Bonito | Stars: Maria Bello, Stephen Dorff, Connor Hill, Robert Peters

Dorff as the baddie carjacking Maria Bello and her kid... Decent thriller but it's lacking something

Director: Lee Daniels | Stars: Cuba Gooding Jr., Helen Mirren, Vanessa Ferlito, Macy Gray

Votes: 6,383 | Gross: $0.37M

Dorff yet again plays the main baddie in this one... WELL I guess Omar Gooding Jr and Helen Mirren can't really be considered good guys but they are not as bad as Dorff I guess lol... Anyways ocassionally disturbing (due to Mirren and Gooding's relationship) but ocassionally pretty good... All in all, an okay movie, not for everyone though

17. The Passage (2007)

An American man (Dorff) who falls in love with a Moroccan woman (Givaty) realizes their romance could cost them both their lives.

Director: Mark Heller | Stars: Stephen Dorff, Sarai Givaty, Khalid Benchagra, Abdel Ghani Benizza

Votes: 458

Extremely simple story that goes from point a to b, hard to talk about this movie without giving any spoilers away but Dorff is pretty good in it in the lead and it's perfectly watchable at least once

18. .45 (2006)

A story of how obsession, addiction and abuse cause a young woman to execute an elaborate plan of revenge.

Director: Gary Lennon | Stars: Milla Jovovich, Angus Macfadyen, Stephen Dorff, Aisha Tyler

Votes: 7,864

Meh, extremely uneven, some good scenes mixed with some really bad ones (Dorff has about 24 minutes of screentime)

66 Metascore

Two Port Authority police officers become trapped under the rubble of the World Trade Center.

Director: Oliver Stone | Stars: Nicolas Cage, Michael Peña, Maria Bello, Maggie Gyllenhaal

Votes: 75,049 | Gross: $70.28M

Didn't have too much fun watching this movie, a ensemble-drama with alot of actors I like however in this one I found most of them sort of boring and the movie as well, and it felt like it tries to sell you some political agenda as well... And I'm not buying, sorry

Director: Brian A. Miller | Stars: Stephen Dorff, Stephen Lang, David Boreanaz, James Woods

Votes: 5,054

It's a movie we've seen 100 times before, but more monotonous and just kinda boring, couldn't even find myself to like Dorff's character in this one... For the record I like corrupt cop movies, but this one I don't...

21. Cold Creek Manor (2003)

R | 118 min | Drama, Mystery, Thriller

37 Metascore

Director: Mike Figgis | Stars: Dennis Quaid, Sharon Stone, Stephen Dorff, Juliette Lewis

Votes: 20,285 | Gross: $21.38M

A bad and uninspired attempt at a horror movie, but if I can say anything good about it it's that it's not Dorff's worst horrormovie

22. Tomorrow You're Gone (2012)

Director: David Jacobson | Stars: Willem Dafoe, Michelle Monaghan, Stephen Dorff, Robert LaSardo

Votes: 1,579

I don't hardly remember anything about this movie except that it was boring and it was trying to push a religious agenda at the viewer as well, Dorff in the lead most likely doing the movie just for the money

23. Heatstroke (2013)

On a family trip in the African desert, a research scientist unintentionally travels off course and is brutally murdered by an arms dealer. His girlfriend is put to the ultimate survival ... See full summary »

Director: Evelyn Purcell | Stars: Stephen Dorff, Svetlana Metkina, Maisie Williams, Peter Stormare

Votes: 2,665

The cover makes it look like it's a actionthriller with Dorff as a guntoking badass... It's not... Dorff plays a Hyena expert who's having some trouble connecting with his daughter... It gets boring really fast, and it doesn't help that Dorff dissappears from the movie rather quickly...

A horror movie made about the dangers of internet which seems it was done by some people who probably don't even know where the on and off button is on a computer, pretty terrible
