Fan Buys Olivia Newton-John's Grease Jacket for $243K and Gives It Back to Her
After purchasing Olivia Newton-John's black leather jacket she wore in Grease for $243,200, an anonymous man turned right around and gave the prop back to the legendary actress and singer. Recently, Newton-John had auctioned off the jacket for charity to raise money for her cancer center, and probably thought that was the last she'd see of it.

However, in a touching new video posted by the auction house Julien's Auctions on Facebook, Olivia Newton-John is shown receiving the jacket as a gift from the buyer, much to her surprise.

"This jacket belongs to you and the collective soul of those who love you, those for whom you are the soundtrack of their lives. It should not sit in a billionaire's closet for country club bragging rights," says the man, whose face is blurred in the video as he chose to remain anonymous. "For this reason, I humbly and respectfully return it to its rightful owner,

Grease Is Still the Word: HBO Max Orders Rydell High Spinoff Series Set in the '50s
It seems like we truly can never have too much of a good thing: several months after the Grease prequel film Summer Loving was announced, HBO Max has handed out a straight-to-series order for a spinoff musical of the classic film titled Grease: Rydell High. That's right, folks - we're heading back to the hallowed halls of Rydell High, the high school at the center of all the action.

While Summer Loving will recount the terribly romantic Summer affair between John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John's characters, Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson, Rydell High will introduce viewers to a whole host of new faces. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series will reimagine the original movie while still being set in the '50s and feature big musical numbers from the era. It'll explore the usual topics of high-school dramas, including the horrors of puberty and peer pressures of high school.

Grease: Rydell High Spinoff Series Ordered at HBO Max

Grease is the word at HBO Max.

The forthcoming streamer has handed out a series order to a live-action TV spinoff based on the 1978 John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John movie.

What's more, HBO Max is betting on the Grease brand alone, making it a hit, opting to pull the trigger on a straight-to-series order as opposed to the traditional pilot.

The series will be produced by Paramount Television, the same team that worked Fox's Emmy-winning Grease: Live.

Plot details are scarce, but we do know it will reimagine the original movie and will feature some of the same characters.

But casting details have yet to be revealed, and given that a writer has yet to be attached to the project, it may be some time before it actually sees the light of day.
