Exclusive: Gravitas Ventures has acquired the worldwide rights to Emily Ting’s second directorial feature Go Back to China starring Anna Akana. The film will have a limited theatrical release and will be available on VOD starting March 6, 2020.

Kane Hodder Reveals What He Wants To See In The Next Friday The 13th Movie

Finding someone who knows more about the Friday the 13th movies than Kane Hodder would be an extremely difficult, if not impossible, task. The actor has played Jason Voorhees in four separate film installments, as well as a video game based on the series. That’s easily more than any other performer and puts him in a class with Nick Castle and Robert Englund.

His advanced knowledge of the franchise makes him more qualified than anybody to chime in with his opinions about what the next installment should entail and in a recent interview, the 64-year-old did just that, saying the following:

“I just think that when they do do a 13th one, it certainly couldn’t hurt to bring me back as Jason, unless it’s in 20 years, maybe. But it certainly couldn’t hurt the success of the movie, I don’t think, having the only person that

Comic-Con: From ‘Shang-Chi’ To ‘Birds Of Prey’, Asian Americans Are More Than Ready For Their Close-up In Superhero Movies

  • Deadline
We are days away from Marvel taking the coveted dais of Hall H to give us news on what we hope is Phase 4 of their wildly expansive — and box office record-breaking — Marvel Cinematic Universe. Arguably one of the most anticipated announcements is who would be playing the lead in Shang-Chi, which will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Dave Callaham (both of Asian heritage). It would be the first Asian-fronted superhero film from a major U.S. studio.

In addition to Shang-Chi, the comic book movie powerhouse has tapped The Rider‘s Chloe Zhao to direct The Eternals and Kumail Nanjiani is circling a role in that film. Over at DC, the Harley Quinn spinoff Birds of Prey will be helmed by Cathy Yan, with Ella Jay Basco starring as Cassandra Cain. DC may not be in San Diego for Comic-Con this year, but with Marvel in the room,

Past Sins Resurface In New Promo For Next Week’s Arrow

The midseason finale of Arrow season 7 dropped a major bombshell that’ll change the Queen family forever, as it revealed that the new Green Arrow who’d taken over from Oliver during his incarceration was actually Emiko Queen, the long-lost half-sister he never knew he had.

The recent midseason premiere then fleshed out Emiko’s character somewhat, with the original Emerald Archer discovering about her existence for the first time. But how did things move on from here? Well, the promo for next week’s episode, “Past Sins,” teases that Oliver will try and extend an olive branch to Emiko, apologizing for how their father treated her. However, Emiko has grown up hating the Queens, so it doesn’t look like it’s going to be that easy to bury the hatchet, especially while she’s busy burying arrows in bad guys.

The trailer focuses a lot on this brother/sister dynamic,

Arrow Boss Teases Oliver's New Groove, Two Origin Stories, All-Future Episode, Robert Queen's 'Return' and More

Oliver Queen’s got a brand new bag when The CW’s Arrow resumes Season 7 tonight at 8/7c.

As revealed at the close of the (terrific) midseason finale, Star City’s infamous vigilante is now working unmasked as a consultant for the Scpd. That will stir conflicts, showrunner Beth Schwartz says in the Q&A below, as well as set Oliver’s wife Felicity on a mission.

Schwartz also fielded our burning questions about the (misleading?) flash-forwards, Robert Queen’s “return,” haunted Laurel and more.
