‘The Loudest Voice’: Barry Watson To Play Lachlan Murdoch In Showtime’s Roger Ailes Limited Series
Exclusive: Former 7th Heaven star Barry Watson is set to recur as Lachlan Murdoch in The Loudest Voice, Showtime’s upcoming eight-episode limited series about Fox News founder Roger Ailes, played by Russell Crowe.

A Blumhouse Television and Showtime co-production, The Loudest Voice (fka Secure and Hold: The Last Days of Roger Ailes) is based on Gabriel Sherman’s bestselling book The Loudest Voice in the Room and his extensive reporting for New York magazine about the sordid allegations of sexual harassment that prompted the late Ailes’ ouster at Fox News. Sherman co-wrote the first episode with Spotlight scribe Tom McCarthy, who executive produces with Jason Blum.

Film Review: ‘A Dog’s Way Home’

  • Variety
Film Review: ‘A Dog’s Way Home’
Those predisposed to emotional manipulation by dogs at play and in peril will be easily swayed by director Charles Martin Smith’s “A Dog’s Way Home.” Based on the bestselling novel by W. Bruce Cameron, this story about a lost dog attempting a 400-mile journey home takes us on an emotional roller coaster, most of it with a lump in our throats. However, for every shameless trick the filmmakers employ to pluck our heartstrings, resonant chords are struck elsewhere, teaching audiences about family, the power of unconditional love, and the ripple effects of compassion. In the pantheon of puppy pictures, this doesn’t rank as top dog, but it’s certainly not the runt of the litter either.

Bella (played by dog actor Shelby and voiced in narration by Bryce Dallas Howard) was born in the crawl space of a semi-demolished home in Denver. Raised by a stray cat

“A Dog’s Way Home” Will Make Any Pet Owner Cry Ugly Tears

Right off the bat, it’s important to know for this review that I’m a dog owner. In fact, as I wrote this, my six year old mutt is sleeping mere feet from me. I tell you that to let you know that the manipulation found within A Dog’s Way Home worked on me, almost without fail. The movie is a family friendly animal adventure, but one that made me cry on about a half dozen separate occasions. There are happy tears to be found, sad tears, you name it. By the time the flick had come to an end, I was a total mess. The film is an adventure suitable for the whole family, whether they have two legs or four. We follow a puppy (internal monologue provided by Bryce Dallas Howard) as she goes from a young stray to a beloved family pet. Found with a

How Natalie Wood’s Daughter Natasha Gregson Wagner Came to Love Mother’s Day Again Years After Actress’ Tragic Death
For many years after the death of her mother in 1981, Natalie Wood’s daughter Natasha Gregson Wagner says Mother’s Day “was a sad and difficult day.”

For Gregson Wagner, who launched the fragrance line Natalie last year in honor of her mother, it wasn’t until she became a mom herself to her daughter, now 4, that the day became joyful again.
