At the 1961 Italian Grand Prix, the rear wheels of Wolfgang von Trips's Ferrari collided with the front wheels of Clark's Lotus after von Trips shifted sideways. The Ferrari spun twice and went into the guardrail, then bounced back, struck the Lotus, and flew into the crowd. Von Trips and 15 spectators were killed. See more »
