Exclusive clip from Pascal Laugier’s ‘Incident in a Ghostland’

  • Nerdly
From the director of 2008’s horror ordeal, Martyrs, Incident in a Ghostland is a terrifying thrill ride that’s as intense as it is disturbing. Having screened at 2018’s Arrow Video FrightFest to positive reviews ahead of its UK Blu-ray & DVD debut, Pascal Laugier’s latest will have you hiding behind your hands and squirming in your seat. It would spoil things to give too much away about the plot as it’s a film best watched when you’re unprepared for it but the lead cast give powerhouse performances, really selling the characters. Combine this with Laugier’s unique, visceral visual style and you genuinely believe these characters are trapped in an inescapable nightmare.

Pauline (French pop icon Mylène Farmer) and her two daughters Beth and Vera inherit a house in the countryside. On the first night in their new home the family are confronted by murderous intruders and

Incident in a GhostLand tricked me. The first twenty minutes or so play out like your typical, modern, haunted house horror. It’s full of not so subtly creepy dolls, the sign of a ghostly presence, and Loud Noises. I was disappointed. The man who brought the world Martyrs, a stomach churning dive into depraved body horror,

Movie Review – Incident In A Ghostland (2018)

Incident In A Ghostland. 2018.

Directed by Pascal Laugier.

Starring Crystal Reed, Anastasia Phillips, Emilia Jones, Taylor Hickson, Mylène Farmer, and Rob Archer.

Synopsis:

The story follows a mother of two who inherits a home from her aunt. On the first night in the new home, she is confronted with murderous intruders and fights for her daughters’ lives.

Mention Pascal Laugier’s name around horror fans and most will recall his French Extremist smash-punisher Martyrs. It’s reflexive, but don’t pigeonhole the filmmaker as an international Eli Roth. Laugier’s under-the-radar Jessica Biel vessel The Tall Man is a moody thriller at best, and most recently, Incident In A Ghostland (or just Ghostland) blends familial horror a la Texas Chainsaw Massacre with notes of haunted dollhouse creeps. Mood draws from dread-soaked crime atrocities and antique oddities over skinned bodies, only Incident In A Ghostland is the least successful in conveying

Official Us Trailer for Pascal Laugier's Horror 'Incident in a Ghostland'

"I never should've stayed in that house." Vertical Entertainment has debuted a new official Us trailer for the supernatural horror thriller Incident in a Ghostland, the latest from French director Pascal Laugier. We posted an international trailer for this earlier in the year. The story is about a house where a woman had to fend off intruders to save her daughters. Years later, the two of them grow up with completely different personalities, still traumatized by the events. When they all reunite at the house once again, strange events began to occur. The horror film stars Crystal Reed, Taylor Hickson, Rob Archer, Emilia Jones, Adam Hurtig, Anastasia Phillips, Mylène Farmer, and Alicia Johnston. Unfortunately this still looks as mediocre as it did in the first trailer, only for the most diehard horror fans. Here's the official Us trailer (+ poster) for Pascal Laugier's Incident in a Ghostland, from YouTube: You

Nightmarishly Insane Trailer For the Horror Film Ghostland

The first trailer has been released for a crazy looking horror film called Ghostland and what I'm seeing is some high-energy nightmarish stuff. As you'll see, this story is going to be filled with some sinister content. I like what I'm seeing in this trailer and it looks like a film that I'll enjoy watching because I'm a horror movie freak.

The story begins in a house where a mother is forced to fight off intruders to save her two daughters. Still traumatized by the events that took place in the house, the girls grow up to have completely different personalities. When they reunite at the house once again, terrifying things start to happen. Here's the synopsis:
