3rd Rock From The Sun: 5 Reasons The Show Ended To Soon (& 5 It Ended At The Right Time)

When you look back at surprise TV hits from the 1990s, 3rd Rock From the Sun has to be near the top of that list. Here's five reasons it should have ended when it did, and five reasons it could have gone on.

10 Things You Didn’t Know about Kristen Johnston

If you remember the show 3rd Rock from the Sun, yep, the same one with John Lithgow, French Stewart, and a very young Joseph Gordon-Levitt, then you’ll likely remember Kristen Johnston. She was one of the main cast members for that kooky show and she’s always been something of a “big” woman in terms of her height and imposing stature. But aside from that she’s always been rather comical as well since she can make people laugh rather easily. It might seem like she fell off the map after a while once the show was over, but she’s been around

Aliens, Clowns & Geeks to Premiere at Morbido Film Fest

Tony Sokol Oct 9, 2019

Scifi comedy Aliens, Clowns & Geeks release date set for Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos celebration.

A cult classic in the making will debut at a tribute to a horror classic during a celebration of the dead. The festival takes place in Mexico City from Oct. 30 to Nov. 3 and includes immersive events that intertwine with Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos celebration.

Aliens, Clowns & Geeks is directed by Richard Elfman, who helmed the cult classic Forbidden Zone. Elfman's live theatrical pre-shows for that film are legendary and the tradition will continue. Richard Elfman On His Upcoming Hipsters, Gangsters, Aliens & Geeks

Tony Sokol Aug 29, 2019

Forbidden Zone director Richard Elfman pulls a movie with the key to the universe out of his butt in Hipsters, Gangsters, Aliens & Geeks.

In the pantheon of cult movies, Forbidden Zone stands at high midnight. Richard Elfman's 1980 Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo vehicle was a one-of-a-kind film careening down on a one-way street to an oddly predestined end. On the clock of Midnight Movies, his upcoming Hipsters, Gangsters, Aliens & Geeks runs sometime after 3 a.m., striking after the popcorn has been swept under the seats by the night crew. Independent to its core and featuring Austin Powers' Verne Troyer in his last role, the movie cannot be brushed aside by the barrage of blockbusters. Hipsters, Gangsters, Aliens & Geeks is the antidote to mainstream and a breakneck cure for the run-of-the-mill.

Shot in a fast-paced, classic screen-comedy style, the film is intra-dimensional, extraterrestrial and sonically grounded.

Deadly Class Episode 7 Review: Rise Above

Deadly Class brings things to a head between Marcus and Chester, but fate also has things in store for Maria and Master Lin.

This Deadly Class review contains spoilers.

Deadly Class Season 1 Episode 7

Brushing aside the indulgent level of violence in Deadly Class — it is a show about assassins after all — reveals a surprisingly rich thematic tapestry underneath, and this is really the first week where the struggle between free will and predestination took center stage in almost every storyline to great effect. Even with Willie’s, whose momentary respite in this episode was a welcome diversion from the struggles elsewhere, explored the idea of fate with aplomb. Besides the overly convenient circumstances of the confrontation with Chester, this week’s installment expertly showed what happens when assassins of varying stripes try to “Rise Above” their callings as the episode title suggests.

Opening with the animated sequence was quite an eye-opener per usual.

Deadly Class Episode 3 Review: Snake Pit

Despite some enjoyable character moments in this week’s Deadly Class, the overall story is becoming dangerously cluttered.

This Deadly Class review contains spoilers.

Deadly Class Season 1 Episode 3

After last week’s stellar episode of Deadly Class, one would think that the continued philosophical musings of “Snake Pit” would fit right in with the admirable character development for Marcus (and Lin somewhat) in the previous episode. Instead, this week’s episode was a writhing mass of pithy snippets worthy of the episode’s title, creating moments of insight among a series of scenes which, although they may introduce elements that will be explored in future episodes, go nowhere. There’s a sense that perhaps Deadly Class is taking itself too seriously too early.

The introduction of new teachers, though undeniably fun, is one such disconnected piece of the puzzle. As nice as it was to see Chris Heyerdahl (Van
