Mars Season 2 Review (Spoiler-Free)

The narrative elements take center stage in Mars season 2, but the inclusion of non-fiction parallels is still a unique aspect of the show.

Viewers may be happy to hear that when the series returns on November 12, they’ll notice a shift towards a much more dramatic tale of love and loss on the red planet, but with that change of focus comes the occasional deficiency in the illustrative examples from our own situation on Earth.

In some episodes of the new season, the non-fiction explorations perfectly mirror what’s going on in the story of the Mars colonists,

‘Mars’ Season 2 Trailer: The Red Planet Looks More Fun Than Trump’s America
National Geographic has released the trailer for Season 2 of the event series “Mars,” executive produced by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard. The new episodes take place on a newly colonized planet, and frankly, the technologically impressive settings and state of adventure look ideal compared to the political mess of paranoia here on Earth.

Season 2 picks up several years into the future after the Daedalus crew, a group of carefully selected astronauts, finished building the ultimate colony on Mars called Olympus Town. The new episodes, set to premiere in Spring 2018, examines the impact that humans would have on the Red Planet.

Produced by Imagine Entertainment and RadicalMedia, “Mars” also examines the potential consequences that the planet would have on humans, such as the scientific and personal detriments. Through scripted drama, special effects, and documentary sequences, National Geographic continues to transport audiences to a different world with scientifically literate programming.

Narcos Season 3 Review

As season 3 of Narcos opens, the 1990s are in full swing. A salt and pepper Bill and a fresh-faced Hillary are settling into Washington and they’ve got one less narco trafficker to worry about. Pablo Escobar is dead. After 20 episodes of Wagner Moura sashaying around in badly-fitting denim jeans, Narcos’ antihero has been expended. But where to from here?

Where to? Untold levels of brilliance, that’s where. Premiering on September 1st, this new 10-episode installment of the hit Netflix show is television at its finest and it’s liberated by Escobar’s death. Shuffling around in his denim jeans and granddad jersey straining against his paunch, Moura was brilliant as the charismatic king of Medellin, but season 2 became claustrophobic and drawn out in its focus of Escobar and his capture. By comparison, season 3 is an ensemble piece that lets the audience breathe and to my mind, it’s

Narcos Season 3 Trailer: The Cali Cartel Reigns Supreme

Pablo Escobar may be dead, but life goes on for Netflix’s Narcos series.

In fact, soon after the fallout of season 2, the online streamer went ahead and ordered a two-season renewal, thereby ensuring its hit crime saga will be with us until at least 2018. That’s a resounding vote of confidence for a show that’s now beginning to mosey into uncharted territory, but as today’s all-new trailer reveals, Pedro Pascal’s DEA agent Javier Peña is back, and he has the Cali Cartel firmly between his crosshairs.

In a post-Escobar world, the Drug Enforcement Administration has turned its attention toward that cartel and its so-called Four Kings: Damian Alcazar as Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela, Francisco Denis as Miguel Rodriguez Orejuela, Alberto Ammann as Pacho Herrera, and Pepe Rapazote as Chepe Santacruz Londono.
