AMC Orders Preacher to Series

Preacher is coming to AMC. The cable network has given a series order to Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s adaptation of Garth Ennis’ DC/Vertigo comic. Expected to premiere sometime in mid-2016, Preacher‘s first season will consist of 10 episodes. Rogen and Goldberg, who have worked together on numerous projects, including Superbad, This Is the End, and last year’s The Interview, will produce the series, while Sam Catlin (Breaking Bad, Rake) will serve as showrunner. Preacher stars Dominic Cooper (Agent Carter) as Rev. Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as his ex-girlfriend, Tulip, and Joseph Cilgun (Misfits) as the hard-drinking, Irish vampire, Cassidy.
