Trivia

Director Allan Dwan was at the home of a friend who was an executive at Paramount Pictures, discussing casting for this film. Dwan looked out the window and saw a group of neighborhood kids playing baseball on the street, and noticed a young girl of about 12 who was playing better than any of the boys on her team. He thought she would be perfect for a role in this picture, and after talking to her parents, hired her for this film. The girl was Carole Lombard. See more »
