Star and the Story
1 December 2005 | by ejrjrSee all my reviews

IMDb has erroneously titled this drama anthology series. Four Star Productions produced and released this for non-network, first-run syndication as Star and the Story. In the northeast portion of the USA, Rheingold Beer sponsored broadcast of the episodes and hired Henry Fonda to present such plus appear in commercials for Rheingold beer. However, Mr. Fonda was not the presenter of the series nor the sole host as other film stars such as Peter Lorre hosted. The regional syndication prints with Mr. Fonda and the Rheingold commercials are very rare and reveal the reality of first-run television program syndication in the early days of non-network, independent station deals.
