Ex-race car drivers Ocee and Nick are recruited by the LAPD for their B.A.D. C.A.T. squad: Burglary Auto Detail, Commercial Auto Thefts. Burning more rubber and breaking more rules than most of the criminals they chase, Ocee and Nick, along with their gorgeous partner Samantha and crusty boss Captain Nathan, do their best to keep the streets clear of car thieves.Written by

Real off-duty LAPD officers are required by statute to work security for TV shows film on city streets and for which traffic control might be necessary. I worked as LAPD security for most of this series and was even granted a waiver for one episode when I had a two-line conversation with LaWanda Page. The actors were out-of-control. One day we were having lunch on the set when one of the other cops noted the actors and one of the yellow Chevy Novas was missing. The real cops all jumped on their motorcycles and began searching for the car. We found it a few blocks away as the actors were driving around, running the red "bubble gum" police light and pulling civilians over.
