Gotta love an 80's Slasher
19 October 2011 | by mjtsmm2027See all my reviews

If you are of the age when you were lucky enough to remember the golden age of the Slasher, these are still interesting to watch even now. Somehow the idea of a scary film is diminished with the more money spent on it which is why there are so few that work currently. Paranormal Activity (1st one) did really work for me and again, perhaps it's because it had so little spent on it. Final Terror today is of course unlikely to scare you but going back to these films that scared me as a child, is similar to going back to the records you used to listen to. There are those that have stood the test of time better than this but i still like the premises of these films, particularly the back story highlighting the killer's motives/reasons. Probably one of the more unusual features of this is that as well as the obvious actors, who went on to bigger and better, several of the cast certainly seemed to have maintained fairly active careers.
