Hobbs & Shaw Star Reportedly Eyed For Female Lead In Doom Reboot

Hobbs & Shaw Star Reportedly Eyed For Female Lead In Doom Reboot
It looks like Universal are going to just pretend last year’s Doom: Annihilation didn’t happen. That movie was supposed to course-correct from the 2005 Doom, which was also not much cop. But hey, third time’s the charm right? Yes, it seems that the studio is finally planning to do it right, as instead of trying to crowbar the basics of the game’s setting into a crappy Aliens ripoff, they’re just going to do a big screen adaptation of the original.

Sources close to Wgtc – the same ones who told us a new Scream movie is in development and Han was returning in Fast & Furious 9 – have informed us that the wheels are turning on a new project based on the hit video game series that’ll be entirely separate from the previous two. My bet is that they’re also going to take some cues

Watch: Michael Biehn Reprises His Terminator Role For Coronavirus PSA

Watch: Michael Biehn Reprises His Terminator Role For Coronavirus PSA
Michael Biehn reprised his most famous role, Kyle Reese from The Terminator, recently. Okay, it’s only for 30 seconds on Twitter, but it’s important nonetheless.

Aaron Couch of The Hollywood Reporter posted the video seen below and it’s amazing that Biehn’s monologue is almost verbatim from The Terminator when he tells Sarah Connor the stakes of the situation. He just replaces Terminator with coronavirus. It’s actually kind of surreal and sobering to hear him say words from a movie that can so easily be placed into real-life context.

Of course, we all need to do our part in spreading the word that the best thing to do to combat the coronavirus pandemic is to stay in our homes. And like Ryan Reynolds recently said on Instagram, it’s in our best interests to listen to celebrities because they know what they’re talking about.

In fact,

Leaked Mandalorian Season 2 Art Teases Connection To Darth Vader Helmet

Leaked Mandalorian Season 2 Art Teases Connection To Darth Vader Helmet
An early clue that The Mandalorian was going to be something special was its casting. Season 1 boasted Nick Nolte, Carl Weathers, Taika Waititi, Gina Carano, Clancy Brown, Bill Burr, Giancarlo Esposito and, the cherry on top, Werner Herzog. Some of these actors will be returning for the second season as well, though many of them didn’t make it through the show’s occasionally brutal first run.

It’s looking like the series is set to keep up its note-perfect casting, too, as last week it was announced that Aliens and The Terminator star Michael Biehn would be stepping into a galaxy far, far away. There’s been no official announcement as to who Biehn’s playing, through the rumor mill suggests that he’ll be a “bounty hunter from the Mando’s past.” This description fits about 75% of the show’s cast, so it doesn’t narrow things down much.

Whatever Happened to Jenette Goldstein?
Most of us are likely to recognize Jenette Goldstein as the badass Pfc known as Vasquez in Aliens since it’s where she was seen to be the most effective and was also the most memorable throughout her career. She’s managed to show up in more than one area be it on TV or in movies throughout the years, but one thing at a lot of people might have been rightfully confused by is the fact that Jenette is Jewish, and Vasquez was distinctly Latina in Aliens. In a lot of her other roles she takes on the persona that she

Diesel Power – Vin Diesel’s Best Roles
Throughout the annuls of history, cinema has taught us that a hero will arrive to save the day. Well, it’s safe to say that we’re in a time of need, living life not a quarter of a mile at a time, but entire days, and so the power of escapism into the world of film as important as its ever been.

War of the Worlds Episode 5 Review

War of the Worlds Episode 5 Review
This War of the Worlds review contains spoilers.

War of the Worlds episode 5

It gives with one hand and takes away with the other, The War of the Worlds. Episode five came so close to leaving us on a note of sweet and tender romance instead of abject bleakness, but in the end, must have thought the better of it.

The final image of this instalment was superlative horror: a beautifully shot corpse drifting in a lake of Arthurian mist, its pregnant womb bloodily scooped out like a balled watermelon. “I don’t believe in the existence of angels,” sang Nick Cave over the top. Me neither, Nick. After this, who could?

The baby-abduction from last week, we learn, was not done on an alien whim. For some dread scheme, the robot dogs are harvesting kids – up to and including 16-week-old foetuses.

Whoever came up with this plan, we also

Bill Burr Returns as Mayfield in The Mandalorian Season 2
Another character is set to return for The Mandalorian season 2. Bill Burr is set to reprise his role as Mayfield, which makes for an interesting development. The live-action Star Wars series debuted on Disney+ last year and went on to become an instant hit, in no small part thanks to the internet's unending love affair with Baby Yoda. Burr served as just one of many guest stars in season 1, but it appears his role isn't going to be relegated to a one-and-done situation.

According to a new report, Bill Burr is coming back for The Mandalorian's sophomore season. It hasn't yet been revealed how many episodes Burr will appear in. This comes just after it was confirmed that Aliens and The Terminator star Michael Biehn has also joined the show as a rival bounty hunter to Pedro Pascal's Mando.
