Cheryl is a Hong Kong-based film director who uses the story of her first love as the basis for her next screen project. As she tells her tale to a screenwriter, she relives memories from a more innocent time.
Lam meets Mr. Worm, the chief of a lost-and-found company, and tasks him to find her lost lover Ted for her. Flashbacks show she was diagnosed as having leukemia. While recuperating she helps Mr. Worm solve a very hard case. Before she gets any worse, Lam decides to visit Ted's homeland in St Kilda, Scotland, to find where "the ends of the world" is. Kelly Chan played her part as a woman with cancer searching for hope. She may have been the main character, but more endearing than her rigidity and hidden self-pity is Mr. Worn's (Takeshi Kaneshiro) belief in life and it's magic.
A truly enchanting film. Strange and sporadic at times but wholly endearing.
