In the scene where Ewan McGregor is released from jail, with Jim Carrey waiting for him outisde two sets of jaildoors, he runs up to each gate, eagerly waiting for them to open. This is very similar to what Ewan McGregors character does, leading up to the end-battle in Phantom Menace.
