Based on The Net (1995) starring Sandra Bullock, this 1998 television series stars Brooke Langton in the role of Angela Bennett. Angela is a computer hacker who specializes in debugging systems. On one of her routine assignments, she stumbles onto a plot by a secret society called the Praetorians to control the world through computer systems. Led by Shawn Trelawney (Joseph Bottoms), the Praetorians erase Angela's existence and replace her identity with that of Elizabeth Marx, a criminal and fugitive from the law. Aided by individuals she finds along the way and by a mystery computer e-mail contact known as "Sorcerer" (Tim Curry), Angela strives to foil the Praetorian's plans, save the world, and get her life back.Written by
I absolutely LOVED this show! I loved the whole premise of it, and i expecially loved that Angela Bennett was a strong, intelligent woman. But, I must confess that my favorite character was Jacob Resh. What a HOTTIE!!!!!! I hope that someday USA realizes their horrible mistake of cancelling "The Net" for "Happy Hour" ??????? Jeers and 2 thumbs down to USA Networks.
