The start of the movie was troubling and it only got worse. Having the girl give a presentation on her family to explain who they were didn't seem to be completed, being that she never finished her story.. A couple moments of Kevin Smith'esquire' dialogue, but not nearly enough. Carlin was good, and Liv Tyler talked like a Smith character, but other than that, I mean c'mon man you made Clerks and you're gonna end your movie with the Dad running to save the day at the School Play, THE FUCCING SCHOOL PLAY? Oh, and let's not forget about the montage's, Jesus how many cheesy songs can play while Affleck glances out his window just 'wondering'... The Landslide montage was one of the worst moments in my movie viewing career... I was a huge fan of Smith, He influenced me to write, and I think he writes- err.. WROTE dialogue better than anyone, but now, landslide.....
