Hollywood send-up. No-name actors are making a low-budget period drama called "Home for Purim," when an anonymous post on the Internet suggests that one performance is Oscar-worthy. Then, two more cast members get Oscar-related press: buzz in "Variety" and appearances on TV prompt the studio executives to insist on changes in the script in anticipation of a blockbuster. Jump ahead a few months to the days before Oscar nominees are announced: just the possibility of a nomination has changed the actors' lives. For Your Consideration: Guest and Company do it again! A+++
I just watched the world premiere of "For Your Consideration" at the Toronto Film Festival and I LOVED it! I laughed (as always) from beginning to end!
I also enjoyed the large cast which featured many beloved actors from Guest's previous movies. There are so many hilarious characters, lines and purely brilliant moments that I will have to go back and see it again to catch them all. But that's the best part, isn't it?!
I am a huge Christopher Guest movie fan, and I must say, For Your Consideration is definitely another classic!!
