Storyline

This is the powerful story of a young woman, Sri Kebon, who devoted all her time and efforts to helping the Balinese who were affected by the Bali bombing of October 2002, widows and children of the victims. Her tireless efforts have made a real difference to some who had little hope at all. Also documented is her rescue and fostering of two young children who lost their mother in the blast, and her ultimately triumphant struggle against political bureacracy to have them reunited with their father. I wish this film was available in the USA
20 May 2006 | by serratore-1See all my reviews

This film is a heart touching story that came about from the tragic nightclub bombing in Kuta, Bali 2002. By Islamic hardliners. Where over 200 people were killed. The story is about a young Balinese Princes who came to volunteer her help to families and victims. The story follows her efforts to reunite two young children with their Iranian father who was being held in detention by the Australian govt. and the hardships of dealing with the bureaucracy to rejoin the children and father. I was fortunate enough to meet the producer Jane Waters, while traveling and received a copy of this film on DVD in the pal format, which is not used in the USA. I feel that it is important that we westerners be informed about issues in the Austra-Asian area, since these matters do affect us. I would like to see this film to be available in the USA.
