My little good luck charm
16 May 2017 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

Buddy Ebsen plays a former silent screen comedian who did daring stunts from heights like Harold Lloyd in his prime. He hires Bailey&Spencer for an unusual assignment to retrieve some kind of good luck talisman that he has. Not worth anything monetarily, but Ebsen has a lot of show business superstitions and he wants it back.

It was last seen at a small dinner party that Ebsen had so Efrem Zimbalist has a closed circle of suspects. A few things also get uncovered not necessarily related to the theft.

This episode gives one an opportunity to see a young Joel Grey playing Ebsen's nephew and a budding comedian in his own right.

Zimbalist's solution, so simple it's positively genius.
