Tyr leaves the Andromeda while it is in dry-dock for repairs to seek out other survivors of his pride. Dylan and the rest of the crew remain to see off the newest Commonwealth battleship, the Resolution of Hector. The AI to be installed in the Hector was derived from Andromeda and the former AI of the Wrath of Achilles, who was destroyed in a prior mission. Matters become complicated when Romy leads a strike force to take control of the Resolution of Hector.Written by

Oh, well, it's kind of funny actually. In all the, er, rush to build you, I sort of forgot to make you anatomically correct.

Rommie goes Rogue and Tyr departs on a personal mission
As this episode opens Andromeda is in dry dock being repaired and Tyr requests permission to leave as he thinks he has found other members of his pride. Meanwhile new battleship, the Resolution of Hector, is almost ready to have its AI installed when something surprising happens... Rommie seizes control of the ship and departs with Harper as prisoner. Now Dylan with have to work with the avatar of the Resolution of Hector to recapture the ship and find out just what went wrong with Rommie.
This was another enjoyable episode that got off to a great start with Tyr's departure and Rommie going rogue in quick succession. The reason for Rommie's behaviour is explained a little too soon for my liking although it does nicely link back to a season one story. The story does provide plenty of fun scenes; early on we see Rommie being threatening to Harper and ultimately there are some good fight scenes; Lexa Doig does a fine job in the role. Guest star Christopher Judge also impresses as Hector; a very different avatar to Rommie. Tyr's story is equally interesting as his character is soon shown to have lied to Dylan and is on a private mission that could ultimately set him against Dylan and the Commonwealth. Overall a good episode that sets up details that will clearly be important in future.
