Upon losing one of her baby teeth, Tabitha asks her parents about the Good Fairy as the Kravitz's visiting nephew, Sidney, tells her that it's the parents who place the money under the pillow in exchange for the tooth, not a fairy. Samantha's response is that children who believe in the Good Fairy are indeed visited by her, with parents having to make the exchange only for children who don't believe. Darrin is dismayed to learn that Samantha is telling the truth, Samantha who personally knows the Good Fairy, whose name is Mary. Darrin gets to meet and Samantha gets reunited with Mary when she leaves the money under Tabitha's pillow that evening. An incident at the house leaves Mary incapacitated to do her remaining duties for the evening, Samantha instead forced to, Mary the only being that can make the switch, including Samantha needing the fairy outfit complete with wings, tiara and wand.
