The Agency is hired by Michael Leone, cousin to famed opera diva Carla Leone, to protect her and prevent the theft of her Blue Heron diamond, which she intends to wear at an upcoming Los Angeles performance. Carla, in turn, is undeterred in having a rather unique and what she considers foolproof means of security for the diamond. The issue is that long suspected but never caught brazen daytime only cat burglar Damien Roth - coined the Ice Cat in his penchant for diamonds - is known to have arrived in town. Roth, who is heir to his own fortune, runs within the jet set as a Renaissance Man, hobnobbing with the people from who he steals, none of them willing to accuse him. The Angels may have their work cut out for them in getting close to Roth as he is not only a purported recluse, but is impervious to the charms of the opposite sex.
