The Reluctant Deputy 

Blue is a temporary deputy for a weekend during which Well Fargo is held up. He arrests Buck and Manolito for disorderly conduct and they unwittingly help him capture the robbers in a weekend of tricks and paybacks between them.

Buck, Manolito, and Blue have the weekend off in Tubac to celebrate. The sheriff stops them saying he needs a deputy for the weekend due to the payroll being in town. Buck and Manolito beg off with excuses but provide him a disgruntled Blue. That evening the safe is blown at Wells Fargo with $31,010 stolen. The sheriff goes after the thieves leaving the town to Blue. That evening Buck and Manolito get into a fight so Blue gets revenge by jailing them for the weekend. The robbery was an inside job between the agent Hewitt and Sam Pelletier. Realizing the sheriff may find the money they have hidden at the Wells Fargo office when he returns after finding no tracks, they ask Blue to lock it in the sheriff's safe. The combination is posted on the wall. Blue does but Buck and Manolito find their cell door won't stay locked. Oops I as a military officer burned someones home due to be overly zealous. Thank god we don't in most cases live in a military state. A very disappointing episode. Please don't air that episode again.
