Storyline

While Rick and Will are off running an errand, Holly, alone at the cave doing her chores, receives a visit from Dopey. She ends up playing with Dopey, but realizes that Dopey can't stay and that they all have to watch out for Grumpy. The errand that Rick and Will are running is to go back to the Lost City to see if they can figure out Enik's time travel system and if it can help them get back home. But they too have to watch out for their enemies at the City, namely Alice, who seems to be lording over the site, and the Sleestak who use it as their central command post. In an encounter with the Sleestak, Rick is pushed into the pit where the so far unseen ravenous Sleetak God resides. While Will rushes off to get a rope to help his father get out, Rick doesn't end up immediately seeing the god, but rather another intelligent Sleestak named S'Latch, who is mistrusted by the other Sleestak because of his intelligence. Trivia

S'Latch explains to Rick that from time to time, a Sleestak is born with the traits of their ancestors, such as he had been. The "Sleestak Leader", introduced at the end of Season Two and featured prominently in the show's final season, must've been born in that manner also, but seems to possess only a limited portion of S'Latch's inherited traits, possibly explaining why the Sleestak accept him as their Leader. Goofs

The Sleestak are supposed to be terrified of bright light; that is why they remain in their caves during the day, yet S'Latch seems to have no trouble walking through the jungle in broad daylight with the Marshalls. See more »
