Storyline

Having decided to forgo college, Julie spends the summer searching for a job. While out job-hunting, she accidentally crashes into a sports car owned by veterinarian Dr. Paul Curran. Julie insists upon paying for the damages rather than use Ann's insurance policy, but she and Ann argue about Julie's inability to find stable employment. Julie boldly persuades Paul to hire her as an assistant at his animal hospital. Her anger at a patient who doesn't love her dog impresses Paul, and despite an age difference of 25 years, the two find themselves enjoying each others company and sharing laughs. Afterward, Julie returns home from her first day of work and announces to her stunned family that she's in love. Written by Skip Eastport

Quotes

Dwayne F. Schneider: Hey, hey, hey. Can we possibly hold it down?
Ann Romano: Schneider, do you always have to butt in here right in the middle of an argument?
Dwayne F. Schneider: Is there any other time? I got a complaint from Old Lady Bronson across the hall. She'd like you to keep it down, so she can take a nap. Or talk louder, so she can hear.
