During his daily patrol, Spider-Man hopes that life in New York City was as peaceful as it is seen from the top. Meanwhile, below the town, two workers face a terrifying creature that manages to capture one of them; the other one was saved by Spider-Man when he put himself and other people in danger while he was driving, still trying to get away from the creature. At the Daily Bugle building, J. Jonah Jameson offers a 1,000 dollars bonus to the reporter who gets a photo of "The lizard". Also, Peter Parker is sent to contact his old teacher and friend, Dr. Curt Connors, to consult him about the subject. Peter (as Spider-Man) manages to take a photo of a giant reptile footprint and a girl Peter knows, named Debra, suggests that the reptile who made the footprint could maybe walk in two legs. Great Intro

Great first episode to the series. It's a really cool feeling to re-watch it after all these years have passed since I saw it last. Surprisingly adult-friendly, filled with interesting dialogue, and with more than just entertainment value on offer. Care was clearly put into this.
