White Balance

Two teenagers go missing at the same time - a black boy and a white girl. The team is faced with the difficult task of finding both teens, which is made incredibly difficult by all the media coverage given to the white teen.

The team simultaneously looks for two missing school teens. The media make a lot of fuzz, generating a flood of spontaneous 'tips', about the white girl, who met the wrong people including a lover boy pimp whose debts landed them with a creepy abusive client. Colored Darnell Williams's mother pathetically blames Jack that far less attention goes to her son, a jock who recently met and started spending time with his terminally sick biological father Franklin Earl Wilson. I don't think that is what they are trying to put out
31 October 2008 | by luckienum_13See all my reviews

while it is very true that many many African Americans are not reported on the news under any type of issues missing or even doing well in other matters. I thought this was a really well done episode cus it is stating that fact as we know it now. I simply think they are trying to show the aspect of saying race shouldn't matter cus in the end someone lost a child doesn't matter who they are where they come from or what race they are so by staying away from telling who died just planning shows that no matter if they go on air to the news or not everyone should be treated equal cus u never know what will happen out there. Not sure if most agree.
