Character error 

At the arraignment hearing the judge's clerk fails to read all of the charges the defendant is facing aloud, this is something they are required to do. In addition to the charge of murder in the first degree Jeffers is also being charged with rape in the first degree and kidnapping in the first degree. So he is facing sentences for one violent class B felony and two class A-I felonies.
