Mahi is nicknamed Mayavi for his ability to beat up baddies stealthily without revealing his identity. He often ends up in jail. While serving time he develops a friendship with Balan, another convict. Balan's brother is seriously ill in hospital and is in need of an expensive operation. Meanwhile Mahi is picked as the lone lucky prisoner to be pardoned and released on Independence Day. With Balan unable to provide the funds from inside the jail and since his release is a long way off, Mahi promises to find a way to procure the money.
Mahi also known as mayavi for his ability to beating his enemies by hiding.Mahi was offered a mission to kill a guy called Shivashangaran. Initially he accepts, but knowing the injustice and real situation he decides to protect Shivashankaran.
Mahi, nicknamed Mayavi (magician) for his ability to attack his enemies without revealing his identity is hired to accept a homicide in exchange for money to save his friend in hospital. Later, when Mahi realizes that he is on the wrong side, unleashes hell upon the antagonists as Mayavi while acting as their innocent goon Mahi during other times. How he protects the good and punishes the bad forms the crux of the story.
