Storyline

It's 1980 and Eric Crawford is now the head of the UFO program. Soon after his father's death, he blackmailed government officials into giving him the post. Jesse Keys is married but is becoming increasingly paranoid over his abductions and agrees to seek professional help. He soon finds himself under the control of the military. Jacob is married and still has his special powers. He returns to Texas and reunites with his family at their mother's death bed. He tells his brother Tom about his origins and Tom goes from being the biggest pessimist to the strongest believer in aliens. This catches Eric's eye who cannot help but wonder what made him change his mind. To get that information, he starts an affair with Jacob's sister Becky. Written by garykmcd

Goofs

At the end of maintenance, the last day shown is November 8th of 1980. When that date first appears on the screen, it is daylight. Then we see Eric waiting for Becky to get out of her house (in order to live with her to Maine), it is then night time. When she doesn't go out he decides to hit the road back to his military base and finish packing up. When he enters the base, it is daylight again. However, when he finally takes off to Maine, while he is on the road, it is night time again and the date shown is still November 8th of 1980. It should be November 9th (or more) of 1980 since at least one day and a half separates the scene when that date first appeared and the last scene it appears in. See more »

Quotes

Allie Keys: [narrating] I never met my grandfather but my father told me that he was a very brave man. And with all that'd he'd done, maybe because of he'd done, his favorite thing in all the world was to mow the lawn. My dad said he heard his father talking to a neighbor once. The neighbor asked him how he was and what he'd been doing. And my grandfather said, "I've been cutting the grass and watching it grow. Cutting the grass and watching it grow. Life," he said, "is 90% maintenance."
