Having time-traveled four years in the future, the future Peter shows his younger counterpart that people have access to drugs that give them various super powers and some of them will destroy the world. Past Peter is forced to run from the dark and evil future versions of Claire, Daphne, and Knox, all of whom work as killers for government agencies to track him down. Past Peter is forced to look for allies and finds one in a very subdued version of Sylar. From his spot in Africa, Matt Parkman has a vision of his future in four years in which he is married to Speedster Daphne and is still looking after Molly Walker whom also works for the agencies. In the present, Hiro and Ando are locked away in a Level 2 prison cell where their situation starts to drive a riff between them. The title is taken from J. Robert Oppenheimer's famous quote of the Bhagavad Gita after the first atomic detonation, "I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." See more »

Future Peter is killed by Claire, not because he never absorbed her power to heal (he did in the first season) but because the Haitian blocked his regeneration power. Claire knows that she can definitely block it by putting something in the back of his neck, like hers was blocked by a piece of wood in season one. She even tells the younger Peter she can kill him with a bullet in his neck. See more »

heroes will be canceled
10 October 2008 | by slappyviewerSee all my reviews

this is god awful. Another person on here said that they never leave reviews. i don't either. In fact, I signed up for IMDb just so I could complain about this episode.

I used to LOVE this series, now I doubt that I'll watch another episode. With all this who is good and who is bad stuff, its hard to care what happens. I can understand the existential questions its trying to raise and such, but its done in such a horrible, horrible way. Does EVERYONE need to switch roles?

did the writers write this an hour before the tapping? it reminds me of the kind of book reports I would write the morning the paper was due... when I hadn't read the book.

The plot is pointless, like the ramblings of a homeless crack head. the dialog is: clichéd. ringing false. just filler.

I seriously think someone let their high school student write this one... what happened?

TO THE WRITERS OF HEROES==== WE'RE NOT STUPID! stop giving us tripe or you're going to be canceled. call together a big meeting and FIX THIS!
