Before being sent to serve in Vietnam, two brothers and their girlfriends take one last road trip, but when they get into an accident, a terrifying experience will take them to a secluded house of horrors, with a chainsaw-wielding killer.
Two siblings and three of their friends en route to visit their grandfather's grave in Texas end up falling victim to a family of cannibalistic psychopaths and must survive the terrors of Leatherface and his family.
After the first massacre in 1974, the townspeople suspected that the Sawyer family were responsible. A vigilante mob of enraged locals surrounded the Sawyer house, burning it to the ground and killing every last member of the family. Decades later, a young woman named Heather learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from her grandmother. She decides to bring her friends along on the road trip to investigate her inheritance. On arrival, she discovers she has inherited a mansion, but is yet to uncover the terrors that lurk in the basement underneath it.Written by

Drayton Saywer is repeatedly referred to as Leatherface's father. Tobe Hooper had said that Drayton is actually the brother of Leatherface and the hitchhiker from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and, although not explicitly stated in the first movie, Drayton even refers to them as his younger brothers, not his sons, in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. This is either a notable change or a mistake in "Texas Chainsaw 3D", depending on how you look at it. See more »

I was let down in the first few minutes, then when i realized the direction it was headed in it made for an interesting story. But when I recognized the same old pattern of a group of...twenty-somethings--(Thirty somethings? If it was trying to keep track with the original time line then the ages of the young adults were kind of off.) I became bored again. It was the same thing we saw in the last two remakes that claimed to do the original film justice. However, the plot goes up and down another hill and completely changes into something different towards the climax once again. Either way,it's a strange script and it will make you scratch your head a few times.Alexandra Daddario is a fine actress, and took the lead role down with no problems in my opinion. But this franchise was over after the first remake.
