Trivia

When Amy rushes into Selina's office with good news, she prefaces it by saying, "Fuck-a-dee-doo-dah, fuck-a-dee-ay...". This paraphrases the Oscar-winning song, "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" from the Disney classic, Song of the South (1946). See more »

Quotes

Selina Meyer: And what about Senator Reeves? Is he dead yet?
Amy Brookheimer: Not yet. He's mostly intravenous. He has so many tubes in him, he looks like a set of bagpipes.

Near perfect pilot
29 January 2020 | by zakfeftySee all my reviews

The fast paced, clustered environment that is created places you directly into the action and makes you feel immersed in the centre of the political setting. Reminds me somewhat of Parks and Rec but with a lot more swearing and generally darker backing tone. Jokes are almost non stop and landed for me a good 95% of the time. Julia Louis Dreyfus is amazing as the Veep and the secondary characters bring it all together. Tony Hale in particular is a strong and expression filled actor.
