An honest coming of age tale of two boys searching for love and identity, in which symbiotic musical creation plays a poignantly pivotal role.
Wonderfully inspired and simple yet deeply infinite, this short film tells the tale of old friends reconnecting through the universal languages of love and music. In doing so they find an unexpected attraction and connection develop through their mutually shared passions.
Cleanly and simply shot, this short is full of an innocent wonder often associated with youth. A subtle though powerfully intense sensuality runs throughout the film.
The beauty of the two lead boys, combined with their magical musical making style and flow, will surely captivate and enthrall you.
Lucas Hamming (who also stars) is an accomplished musician and the on film song and acting performances with co-star Jordy Maarseveen are easy, relaxed in both manner and style.
"The 2 songs performed by the boys are original songs written and composed by the lead actor Lucas (with the guitar). When I heard those songs they fitted in straight away. Also Lucas' skills as a musician were very helpful. I'm very grateful of this participation in the film." - Director Lars Janssen - Find his work at Rêvasser Films.
The brilliant soundtrack includes the hauntingly beautiful theme song 'Ik Zwijg' by up and coming Dutch artist Sophie Veline.
A meditation on the awe inspiring interconnectedness of nonverbal communication, this film is full of the unspoken longing and intimate affection of the undefined freedom and sexuality of youth.
