Pilot preview: Jason Isaacs is 'The Surgeon General' at CBS

In less than a month, the broadcast networks will be announcing which new series they're picking up for the 2013-14 season. Zap2it can't wait for that, though, so this week we're doing a series of pilot previews.

What it's about: War medic Dr. John Sherman (Isaacs) is wounded in a

When I first heard about the news, my honest first reaction was: "What ,Again????" Actually it just seems that Anne Deavere Smith has played the Vice President of the United States before. However, this time she's gotten a real promotion, and has been cast as the V.P. in the CBS pilot The Surgeon General, starring Jason Isaacs as, who else, the surgeon general. No word yet as to who will play the President of the U.S. No doubt the huge success of Scandal has all the other networks scrambling to get their own White House-set prime time soap opera on the...
