Sex & Nudity

  • There is also one scene early on after they move in to the house where the girl hallucinate her friend standing naked in the hallway but from the waist up, you do however see the hip area
  • One of the characters has a dream about a train, the train light shine on three naked people standing on the tracks. Very brief and you see them fully from behind.
  • In an hallucination, a woman and a man are briefly seen performing sex; PG-13 shows the couples's faces close up but not really showing anything. The unrated cut has more graphic footage of the sex scene.

Violence & Gore

  • Unrated cut restores the R-rated gory violence.
  • The portrayal of infliction of pain and injuries in the film is depicted with some detail of blood and gore.
  • There are various depictions of horror violence in the film, accompanied by some bloodletting.
  • For example, in one scene, a man goes on a killing spree, chasing down his victims and shooting them at close range.
  • Some bloody content and disturbing images. But, it is all offscreen and we only see some blood on the bodies. Plus we see an image of a ripped open leg which is brief and very fake looking.

Profanity

  • Unrated adds uses of the f-bomb.
  • There are 2 uses of the F-word; quite a lot for a PG-13 rating.
  • Other profanities are used, such as sh*t, hell, damn, and possibly *ss.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Frightening scenes which are more prolonged are portrayed in the film.
  • There are several sequences in the film which contain a sustained sense of threat, some with depictions of bloodshed and injury [see Violence & Gore for more details].
  • In another scene, a woman sees visions of a family of three in a car wreck and rushes over to help them, but ends up running into the path of an oncoming train.
  • There is another sequence where the protagonist runs over an elderly lady with his car while rushing back to save his friends.
  • In these scenes, a supernatural force compels the characters to commit crimes, become violent or see visions of terrible things.
