Continuing off from the first Contracted this one has the boyfriend of the girl who decayed, getting the symptoms himself. We bear witness to his decomposition while he tries to find the guy behind the original infection.
This wasn't as good as the original as the film tries to go all mainstream. They show the virus outbreak happening in the city with everyone looking for the guy who started the virus as he has the possible cure. You can see how the writers are trying to do a Saw type story with more and more plot lines interwoven in for a third phase and potentially lots more. If you want to keep up with the story you'll have to watch it but like I mentioned in the first movie's review watch Thanatomorphose (2012) instead.
