Quotes

Sol Bergstein: I can't believe I was so stupid.
Frankie Bergstein: That's what you want to process? Your stupidity?
Sol Bergstein: It's just, I risked everything. What was I thinking? I... I really fucked up.
Frankie Bergstein: This was the fuck up? Not your twenty year affair? Not all the lies you told me? One night with the woman you spent forty years with in the house where we raised our children? That's the fuck up?
[incredulously]
Frankie Bergstein: That's fucked up.

Things Are Put on Hold
13 May 2016 | by HitchcocSee all my reviews

As Frankie suffers for her roll in the hay with Sol, Sol heads for the house, wondering if he should confess. When he gets there, Robert has suffered a heart attack. Most of the episode takes place in a hospital. Robert is scheduled for a bypass and wants to marry Sol because he doesn't know what the outcome will be. The charm comes from the ditzy Sol vacillating as he feels deep inside that he must be honest. There is plenty of byplay between Frankie, Grace, and their dysfunctional children. Robert is the voice of reason, but he is all drugged up. I thought is was a fun beginning to the second season. The people here are such heavyweights and interact comedically with each other.
