Off track

This almost seemed like the launching of another TV pilot with Isaih Whitlock, Jr. as captain of the 12th precinct and a cast of potential regulars from said precinct. In any event the SVU squad joins with members of the 12th to catch a break-in rapist who in this case targeted a whole family.

That terrible incident is reduced to nothing as an innocent kid is shot and killed and everyone gets caught up in that. The whole episode goes off track and the original crime is almost forgotten.

Not a good one for SVU.
