[Jane Doe sees Agent Weller stuffing the Uno Attack board game into his work locker]
Jane Doe : [Jane chuckles] Uno Attack? Sounds intense.
Kurt Weller : Yeah. Sawyer is the reigning champ in our house.
Jane Doe : Must be killing you that you're not the best at something.
Kurt Weller : Don't you worry. I'm gonna knock that kid off his throne tonight.
[Jane Doe asks how Agent Weller's dad is doing]
Jane Doe : How is he?
Kurt Weller : He's not great, really. The doctors think that he doesn't have much time.
Jane Doe : I'm sorry.
Kurt Weller : He's fighting a good fight, though. He's determined. Stubborn as hell. Always has been.
Jane Doe : Sounds a little like someone I know.
[Jane Doe tries to talk to Maya Ahmadi by sharing sketchbooks]
Jane Doe : I was lost once, too. I sat in this very room and I was all alone. I didn't know where I was or how I got here. All I wanted was to go home. I want you to know you can trust us. These people, they've been helping me. And they can help you, too.
Jane Doe : [Jane pulls out her own sketchbook] This is my sketchbook. I draw when I'm scared or when I'm happy, too. It helps me think. Do you want to have a look?
Jane Doe : [Maya looks through the sketchbook when Jane holds Maya's hand] I promise you'll be safe now. I won't let anything bad happen to you.
[Jane Doe talks to Agent Weller about being a good dad]
Jane Doe : I know he had his flaws but... it seemed like your dad did try... until everything happened.
Kurt Weller : He used to be my hero. I wanted to be just like him. Have a big yard. Lots of my own kids. Can't imagine a life like that now.
Jane Doe : Why not?
Kurt Weller : Come on. Raising kids? What we do? I don't think I could be the kind of dad I'd like to be.
Jane Doe : I think you'd make a great dad. For what it's worth.
[Agent Weller asks Jane Doe if Maya Ahmadi's eaten any of his cooking at the cottage]
Kurt Weller : Any luck?
Jane Doe : No, she won't even take a bite.
Kurt Weller : Come on, Maya. You got to be hungry.
Jane Doe : Maybe... she just doesn't like your cooking.
Kurt Weller : That's impossible. Everyone loves my cooking.
