Storyline

When a reality TV show, that brings together single men and women in hopes of finding love, has a special live show. And on the show they reveal that one of the girls hooked up with one of the guys. But when she learns of this, she claims to have no memory of it. Meaning that the guy took advantage of her when she was inebriated or he drugged her. When the team learns of it, they go to where the show houses the participants and tries to talk to the girl. But she's still in shock. They ask for the videos but the producers are not being cooperative. Eventually they learn who they guy is and try and bring him in but can't. The guy later comes in with his mother who is a lawyer and tells them her son was not the one who took advantage of the girl. He says the producers wanted him to pretend to be the one for the ratings. So they wonder just how much are producers willing to do for the ratings. Written by rcs0411@yahoo.com

Quotes

Lizzie Bauer: So sorry you had to waste a trip.
Dominick Carisi, Jr.: No, not really. Detective Rollins is going to take Melanie to the hospital to get a rape kit done.
Lizzie Bauer: No, wait, Melanie can't go. She has a shoot. The ladies dine and dish.
Dominick Carisi, Jr.: Does she? That mean that the guys aren't working then, right? That's good, because I need to talk to Ryan.
Lizzie Bauer: Hang on. This is a closed set.
Dominick Carisi, Jr.: No, not anymore, it's not.

Reality TV isn't
13 May 2016 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

This show had an interesting idea behind, basically for us to see that so called reality TV shows are really quite manipulated. Ice-T takes the same position I do, that he has no use for any of them.

But with Peter Scanavino visiting Kelli Giddish one night they've got one of those shows on, it's a Dating Game plus type thing with a lot of beautiful young men and women hooking up and breaking off with the ever present cameras filming the 'drama'.

But after showing a sex scene Comfort Clinton cries rape and that brings the squad in.

Sucked in more likely with producers Michael Gross and Wendie Malick using SVU for ratings.

Ever since Michael Gross was on Family Ties playing father Steven Keaton, he's gone 180 degrees and all the parts I've seen him in are villains of the slimiest kind. He's been on all the Law And Order franchise shows and he's never a good guy.

It did bother me that a really explicit sex scene was shown. That far they haven't gone, but who knows for the future.

An interesting, but far fetched episode.
