Storyline

The video was released on January 13, 2017, gaining 5.14 million hits in the first 24 hours, beating the record of Jay Balwin's previous hit "Bobo" single among all Spanish-language videos on Vevo. It was filmed in December 2016 in the neighborhood of La Perla and in the popular bar La Factoría in San Juan (the capital of Puerto Rico), and the director was Carlos Perez. The director previously worked with Luis Fonsi on the video "Corazón en la Gaveta" (2014) and also with Daddy Yankee in the clips "Gangsta Zone" (2006, together with Snoop Dogg), "Descontrol" (2010), "Ven Conmigo" ( 2011, together with Prince Royce) and "Moviendo Caderas" (2014, together with Yandel). Miss Universe 2006 Puerto Rican model and actress Suleika Rivera takes part in video. A cinematic masterpiece.

Most music in our generation is about crap. Some examples of this trash is childish gambino, gorillas and daft punk. Despacito breaks this mold that is impossible to describe. 10/10.
