Epic ending, James is the coolest
2 February 2018 | by LorenBiegSee all my reviews

This series is one of the best I've seen in recent years. It bears comparison to Breaking Bad and other shocking crime dramas, though with a highly effective dark comedy spin and visibility into the characters' thoughts as a storytelling device.

James and Alyssa are masterfully acted by Alex Lawther and Jessica Barden. Execution is perfect throughout. The dark comedy is laugh out loud funny at times. And boy is it dark. Blood splattering dark. James' journey from self-proclaimed psychopathy to who he is at this point in the story is entertaining and surprisingly resonant, especially in this episode.

My only complaint is the series was too short! I was happy to read that it's been renewed for a second season. Highly recommended!
