Back to nonsense
11 November 2019 | by emil93-LoboSee all my reviews

After a solid 3rd episode the show goes back to being almost completely not-Watchmen (name drops, "easter eggs" and reciting stuff from the book don't count) and adding more characters to a already weird and misleading plot which again makes me wonder for who is this show aimed for. Most of the Watchmen fans hate it and non-fans probably don't know what's the point and where does it all lead to. Even worse more unexplained characters are being added like the (basically) female and asian Veidt and the white spandex man. Jean Smart along with Jeremy Irons again keep me intrigued although he had some comical actions of his own in this one. Also I can't help but laugh how hard Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (also Black Manta from Aquaman) is being portrayed as a soft stay-at-home-husband while big butt Regina King is supposed to be a skilled, badass vigilante (google the actors' workout pics for full context).
