Did You Know?

Ranzar Malk (Mark Boone Junior) refers to the Mandalorian's helmet as a 'bucket'. In the Mando'a language, the words for bucket and helmet are one and the same: "Buy'ce" (pronounced "boo-shay"). See more »

The walking guard droids on the prison ship were initially unfazed by the weapons of everyone else in the party besides Mando, yet later on, Mayfield was able to easily shoot down a few of them. See more »

Mayfeld: The good-lookin' fellow there with the horns, that's Burg. This may surprise you, but he's our muscle.
Burg: [Walks up to Mando] So, this is a Mandalorian. I thought they'd be bigger.

Some cool moments but...
13 December 2019 | by gauthier-lieberSee all my reviews

This episode had some pretty cool moments. The space heist vibe is there, there were some cool references with the Xwings and the republic, and we could see the mando fight a bit more. In summary, some moments I loved.

However, there are a lot of things I found... Meh. First and foremost, this is now the third episode in a row that doesn't bring the story further at all. I really enjoyed the first three, because we discover baby Yoda, then he has powers, and we were wondering if Mando will fight to get him back. After that.. Run. Settle. Job. Run. Repeat. Give us a story to be passionate about, not some Dr. House-type episodes where it's the same scenario each time!

And finally: where do they find their guest actors ? It feels so overacted and amateurish, with awkward hand gestures and contacts, and weird things you'd expect to find in a series for young children. It's a weird mix of high-budget production, with a good main actor, but interconnected with what could be fan-made sequences.

In summary, I hope they go back to the feel of the first three episodes. Quickly.
