Live Virgin (1999)
A great comedy about the many sides of sex
5 October 2000
Mena Suvari's third movie in the past two years with "American" in the title and also dealing with sex. A great comedy, with great performances by Bob Hoskins as an Adult Film producer and the interactive sex machine he invents. Mena plays Katrina, whose father is a rival adult film producer. Hoskins recruits Katrina to be his "interactive virgin" for a live TV event in which people who bought his contraption will be able to participate. Bob Hoskins and Robert Loggia give standout comedic performances that left me rolling in the floor.

Salute Your Shorts (1991–1993)
Summer Camp at its best
3 October 2000
This used to be one of my favorite shows. I would watch it every afternoon, wishing I too, could go to Camp Onawana. I hope I'm not the only one out here who still remembers the theme song. "Camp Anawana, we hold you in our hearts....."

AM I the only one who didn't know that Ben Stein was the voice of the omnipresent Dr. Kahn. I just wish they would re-run the show so I could see it again.

The Mission (1986)
A very powerful moving film about the clash between religion and government in the South American Jungle
1 September 1999
This movie is a must see. It stars Jeremy Irons as a Jesuit priest and Robert DeNiro as a mercenary turned Priest and the plot centers around who will get control of the Mission Territories in South America. A mission is set up to minister to the Guarini Indians, and when they are told to abondon the mission, they decide to stay and defend it. Mendoza (DeNiro) will trust in the power of the sword, while Father Gabriel (Irons) will trust in the power of prayer. The movie features awe inspiring scenery and a very haunting sound track. A must see movie for any film fan.

Eight Days a Week (I) (1997)
Watch it.......Its funny, romantic, and an all around great movie
26 August 1999
This was a great movie. Its is rare that a movie comes along that I enjoy so much as I did this one. Made in 1997, it was done before Kerri Russell became famous as the WB's Felicite, and it is evident by some of the scenes in this movie. If you're a Kerri Russell fan, you'll see a whole new side of Kerri in this movie (romping through the sprinkler in a wet t-shirt) and it is just a really funny movie. In my opinion, the situations in this movie are hilarious and this movie is destined for immortality on the shelves of many dorm rooms across the country. Watch it especially if you are a Felicite fan.

Group of Teenagers are stranded on island, play around, then fight smugglers to survive
18 May 1999
This movie stars Martin Hewitt (Endless Love) and Betsy Russell(Private School)as boyfriend and girlfriend who with a group of friends are traveling to Hewitt's father's island in the Pacific Northwest for a party after their high school graduation. The movie is slow and has a rather weak plot. Their plane crashes and leaves the kids stranded on an island. They swim, play "Games" and do what every teenager would do if they were stranded on an island with beautiful women. Then they discover that a group of smugglers are trying to kill them so they must fight them off and try to get off the island. A corny movie but if you like beautiful women and great scenery, then this movie is for you.
